What are the benefits of attendance?
The State of Black Design Conference provides student attendees opportunities for a glimpse into their future careers, personalized education, and networking. Speakers and sponsors get the opportunity to mingle with, recruit, and share knowledge with fledgling designers and build a stronger relationship with the next generation of designers.

What time does Career Exploration Day begin on March 14?
Virtual programming begins at 10:00 AM CT
In person programming begins at 11:00 AM CT

What time does the conference begin on March 15 and 16?
In person workshops are from 9:00 AM to 12:00 NOON CT
Main stage sessions open to both Virtual and In person participants are from 1:00 PM to ~5:30 PM each day

Are there payment installment plans available for attendees who cannot afford the fee?
No, unfortunately at this time we cannot provide alternate payment plans.
In person registration for students is $100 and for non-students $495.
Virtual registration is $25 for students; $50 for non-students.
We encourage you to contact your company or educational institution for assistance in attending the SOBD conference.
